新生代專業作曲家林慧玲，自越界1994年創團作《失樂園》、1995年的《心之安放》、1998《蝕》，2000年《蛇的練習三部曲》以來，《蘆葦地帶》是林慧玲為台北越界而作的第五件作品。

畢業於東吳大學音樂系，現任國立台北藝術大學舞蹈系伴奏老師的林慧玲，多年來專注於劇場音樂作曲，近期作品包括：動畫舞蹈劇場《影舞集-非愛情故事》及現場演唱、林向秀《舞在一瞬間》、狂想年代-蘇安莉《24》及現場演唱等等。

其他音樂作品包括：曾為電影《多桑》、《城市飛行》擔任配樂，並先後為多位知名歌手擔任唱片編曲、寫歌，以及廣告、電視、與紀錄片等配樂工作。

An inspiring young composer and singer, Huei-Ling has collaborated with Crossover since 1994. Her Crossover credits include Paradise Lost, in which she also played the role of “Angel ”; Place Where the Heart is, The Dark Side of the Moon, and Three Etudes: the Snake. Reed Field marked her fifth commissioned work with Crossover.

A graduate from Music Department of Soochow University, Lin is currently a pianist and music teacher at the Dance department, Taipei National University of the Arts, and composes extensively for theatre, movie soundtrack, and for TV ads. Her recent credits include the animation-theatre project Not Just a Romance, Twenty-four, among others.
