國內資深舞蹈家，其表演以深刻掌握角色性格，極具戲劇張力著稱。國立藝專音樂舞蹈科畢業，國立藝術學院舞蹈碩士。現任教於國立台北藝術大學舞蹈系。

曾為雲門舞集創始團員及主要舞者，演出舞碼涵蓋雲門經典作品，以《白蛇傳》中的白蛇，以及《薪傳》中的孕婦角色知名。曾編作《自從盤古開天以來一直都是這樣的……》《起解》《金縷鞋》《當西風走過》《踏花歸去》《雲路》，並擔任國家戲劇院製作歌劇《白蛇傳》《和氏璧》《魚腸劍》及舞台劇《紅鼻子》舞蹈設計。1995年為漢唐樂府梨園舞坊編排《豔歌行》、《簪花記》《夜未央》及《滿堂春》樂舞。2002年為江之翠南管劇場「後花園絮語」編舞。

越界舞碼包括：《花月正春風…一個不能排練的即興曲》《蛇的練習三種》《捉畫》《愛玲說》《客途秋恨》《騷動的靈魂》《天堂鳥》《蝕》《白》《天國出走》《心之安放》《傳說》《失樂園》等，並隨團赴歐、美、亞洲各地巡演。

Renowned performer of modern dance and Chinese movement. WU has appeared in every Taipei Crossover major works since its inception. Her other recent performances include Prison and Rose (Tsai Ray-yuei’s Project 2000), Awakened, Gazing the Ocean, Diary of a Madman. WU’s performance style is recognized as elegant and full of dramatic tension. She was a founding member and the original cast of the renowned Cloud Gate Dance Theatre’s many best-known works, including the title role in the Tale of the White Serpent, and the “Mother” in Legacy. Her choreography can be seen with classic nang kuan music and dance troupes, including Han Tang Yue Fu and Gang-a-Tsui Experimental Theatre.
